Campfire 'doughnuts'
A simple alternative to jam doughnuts; try this jammy campfire snack - so good!

- bread
- jam
- eggs
- milk
- butter or oil
- sugar
Bowl or tub
Fork or whisk
Knife for spreading
Spatula or similar for flipping

Preparation
Create a cooking fire because it's best to cook over embers.
Gather your ingredients and wash your hands.
Method:
Crack eggs & milk into a bowl or tub and stir up with a fork or whisk.
Make jam sandwiches, cut into quarters and take off the crusts.
Dip the sandwiches into the egg and milk mixture then fry in butter or oil.
Toss through sugar when cooked.
NB Be careful - the jam inside stays hot - it will need a good blow!
