Painted pumpkins

A fun hand-painted Halloween decoration, perfect to hang indoors or out.

Preparation

Prepare your orange paint (we mixed yellow and red) and brushes – we used weatherproof acrylic so they can be hung outdoors. You’ll also need a thin silver or light marker and slightly thicker black marker – weatherproof if going outside.

If you need to drill your own holes look at our drill a wooden disc activity.

Method:

Paint the whole disk orange – allow to dry.

Using a silver or light marker draw curved lines from top to bottom allow to dry.

Use a black marker to draw on the face – use triangle shapes to make it look like its been carved out of the skin.

Take it further:

use as Halloween decorations or hang on strings with spiders & webs for spooky Halloween garlands.
use with painted spiders or webs to create a spooky game of tic-tac-toe.
