Scavenger Friends - Set of 10
These Nature Block creatures have been developed for small world play and imaginative play. Designed for open interpretation and could be anything the children wish them to be such as: animals, monsters, aliens, people or just a nature friend to explore the outdoors with.
Each scavenger friend has holes in it to create ears, antlers, horns, legs, tails etc. out of found materials.
Each creature is individually crafted and sanded from UK grown timber and is a different shape and size - longest approx. 10cm / smallest approx. 3cm x 6cm.
- Suitable for children 3yrs + (contains small parts and loose bark)
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators (extremes of temperature may cause cracking)

Made with UK WoodAll our natural wood products are handmade from materials sourced from sustainably-managed woodlands in the UK; supporting local crafts people, woodland viability and biodiversity. These products are made from untreated wood and they will crack and change over time. This is a natural process which does not affect the use of the product and can encourage a child's investigation of the natural world.
Wood contains a natural preservative called tannin which aids its longevity. Tannin is soluble and can leach out of wood when it gets wet. Once the water evaporates, it can leave tannin sediment behind, causing staining. We recommend that you do not store your wood on a porous surface as it may cause discolouration.

An activity idea - generate a photo record as the scavengers are out and about in different seasons investigating the changes and differences from spring to winter.
UK Grown Wood
Natural wood is a fascinating material unlike a sterile plastic item. Wood changes, its bark comes away (this may happen during transit), there will be knots and small cracks which will expand and contract as the wood changes over time. This all is amazing and it stimulates questions and helps connect us to the natural world and does not detract from the quality of this item.
