Circular Fire Retardant Shelters
A large round flat tarp shelter designed for Forest School and outdoor learning groups. This 16-sided tarp provides wide, even overhead coverage, making it ideal for creating adaptable outdoor classroom spaces, den building and flexible woodland shelter setups.
Designed by Muddy Faces and made in the UK, supplied with a bag to store the shelter in.

IMPORTANT!
Do not leave unattended, even in calm conditions as large tarps create significant sail area and must not be used in strong or gusty winds. Leaving a shelter up unattended, even in calm conditions, means that unseen damage can occur and over time this significantly reduces the longevity of the shelter. It could lead to your shelter failing.
The shelter must be suspended from its fixing loops (do not push poles directly up into the fabric)
Waterproof material - please note seams are not taped – pitch taut with a clear fall to avoid pooling and allow water to runoff and avoid drips.

- Flame retardant and waterproof fabric with a Waterproof rating: 1000mm hydrostatic head
- Double-stitched, overlocked and reinforced seams (not taped)
- 16 reinforced fixing points, evenly spaced with military-grade D loops on reinforced triangular gussets
- 25mm webbing strengthening band across full diameter with a central webbing lifting loop
- Supplied with storage bag, ropes and fixings not included
- Not designed for permanent or unattended setup
- Available in green or camo
This large round flat tarp is designed for creating adaptable overhead cover in Forest School, woodland learning and outdoor group environments. Its 16-sided flat design offers broad, even coverage, making it particularly effective for group work, open shelter setups and flexible rigging between multiple anchor points.
Constructed from durable, non-rustle PU-coated nylon, the tarp is both waterproof and flame retardant, providing reliable protection in outdoor conditions. The 16 evenly spaced fixing points with reinforced webbing gussets allow for balanced tensioning and a wide range of setup configurations, from low shelter builds to raised canopy-style covers. A full-diameter webbing strap and central lifting loop add strength and support when pitching.
Designed and made in the UK by Muddy Faces, this tarp is well suited to schools, nurseries, Forest School leaders and outdoor practitioners. It creates practical covered spaces for group activities such as den building, outdoor lessons, tool work and sheltered play.
Using a round tarp encourages problem solving and teamwork as users experiment with different rigging techniques and shelter shapes. Its flexible design supports creative thinking, adaptability and hands-on outdoor learning.
As with all large tarps, careful setup is essential. This shelter is intended for temporary use and should always be taken down after sessions.
