Instructions

Saw a log cookie, not too thin, as it needs to be thick enough to hammer nails into.

Pair up a holly leaf and an ivy leaf matching the stems.

Tip

I put the ivy leaf on top to make a barrier between the holly's prickles and the maker's fingers.

Place the pair of leaves on the log cookie so the stems are pointing into the middle but will make a circle.

Nail the leaf-pair in place leaving the top of the nail sticking out about a finger's width height above the leaves.

Repeat 4 more times so you have 5 nails in total.

Tie wool onto one nail, then wrap wool around the nails to form a star.

You could use red, yellow, silver or gold wool, anything that stands out for the child.

What a festive display!
