Veg Bed 1m

This 1m veg bed uses a manger-style structure to create a stable and practical growing area capable of holding up to 225 litres of compost. Its size makes it suitable for growing a focused selection of vegetables, herbs, or flowers without requiring a large footprint.

Manufactured from pressure-treated, slow-grown softwood sourced from responsibly managed forests, the timber is selected for strength and outdoor durability. The sides and ends are constructed from 18mm thick boards, while the solid legs (70mm x 45mm) provide reliable support when the bed is fully filled.

The bed depth, approximately 150mm to 450mm, allows for flexibility when planting different crop types and supports healthy root development. To ensure best results, adequate drainage should be maintained when filling the bed to avoid waterlogging, which can place unnecessary strain on the structure.

For long-term care, the veg bed should ideally be emptied and stored indoors during winter. If this is not possible, using a breathable cover is recommended. Any heavy snowfall should be removed promptly to prevent damage and prolong the lifespan of the product.

Assembly is required and is recommended as a two-person task.
