Sandpit with Wooden Lid 160 x 80cm

Early years sustainable resource, children love sand play and every outdoor setting needs a sandpit! Ideal for your outdoor educational environment, these sturdy sandpits are designed and handmade in the UK by the Muddy Faces Team. These are available as two types:

Self-assembly flat pack - supplied with a ground membrane or

Pre-assembled - with a solid wooden base ideal to keep for years and put in locations where a more ridged base is required for potential future relocating or to help prevent sand escaping. Please note that pre-assembled sandpits are delivered on a pallet and will require a couple of people to maneuver into position.

Made from wood treated for longevity in the outdoors with a smooth finish and rounded edges. The wooden lids are made from 80x40cm panels making them easier to handle than one large panel. Strong enough to be walked on and played on, they convert the sandpit into a stage or sitting area. The lids can also be used as benches or work surfaces and moved about to create a great addition to your loose parts and sand play provision. Please note wooden lids are slatted, therefore not watertight, please see waterproof covers if you want to also keep water out.
