Green Community Grants 2026
Up to £25,000 for outdoor nature projects. Deadlines in April, July & October.
Wildlife Trusts Green Community Grants: up to £25,000 for outdoor education projects

Could your school, nursery or forest school get funded for outdoor learning?
The Wildlife Trusts' Green Community Grants Programme is now open for applications, and outdoor education is exactly the kind of work they want to support.
Grants of up to £25,000 are available for not-for-profit groups helping people connect with nature, restore habitats or take action on climate change in their local area. This year three times as many projects will be funded compared to the 2025 pilot, so your chances of success are better than ever.
Are you eligible?
The grant is open to not-for-profit groups in England, Scotland and Wales with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million, who have been operating for at least 12 months. Priority is given to organisations working in more deprived communities or with marginalised groups.
Three chances to apply in 2026
There are three application windows this year:
- 25 March to 22 April
- 24 June to 15 July
- 30 September to 21 October
