Bees’ Needs Week
Bees’ Needs Week, 13–19 July 2026
Bees’ Needs Week is an annual campaign that raises awareness of the importance of bees and other pollinators, and encourages people to take simple actions to help them thrive.
Pollinators play a vital role in the environment and in food production, helping plants to reproduce and supporting the ecosystems we depend on. However, many species are under pressure from habitat loss, changes in land use and the use of pesticides.
The week focuses on practical steps that anyone can take, whether in a school setting, garden or local green space. These include planting nectar‑rich flowers, allowing areas to grow wild, reducing mowing, avoiding disturbance to nesting sites and being mindful about pesticide use.
The Bee Needs Campaign website has Information, resources, activity sheets and promotional materials.
