Milk Crate Table & 4 Log Seats
A simple, interesting and aesthetic addition to your outside area, this set comprises 4 log seats and a crate table.
The log seats are 20cm high and the crate table consists of a standard sized milk crate with a separate wooden topper. All items are mobile so can be re-arranged in your outside space to suit your needs.
The log seats and crate topper are made from UK grown wood. The seats are cut from UK grown softwood trees such as scots pine and larch from sustainably managed UK woodlands. They are rough cut and have not been sanded. The topper is made from sanded larch wood. Planks may run in either direction. The milk crate is made from recycled materials.
Note: The crate provided in this set will be black (not red, as shown in the images).

This is a natural process which does not affect the use of the product and can encourage a child's investigation of the natural world.
Wood contains a natural preservative called tannin which aids its longevity. Tannin is soluble and can leach out of wood when it gets wet. Once the water evaporates, it can leave tannin sediment behind, causing staining. We recommend that you do not store your wood on a porous surface as it may cause discolouration.

Our larch is UK grown and untreated. Larch is a resinous wood which is naturally durable and will last up to 15 years (or longer with treatment). Larch planks will change colour with age. They may also develop, splits, cracks, cup or warp.

Natural wood is a fascinating material unlike a sterile plastic item. Wood changes, its bark comes away, there will be knots and cracks which will expand and contract as the wood changes over time. Further cracks will open up, particularly if left in direct sunlight or during a period of warm, dry weather. This all is amazing and it stimulates questions and helps connect us to the natural world.
