Wood contains a natural preservative called tannin which aids its longevity. Tannin is soluble and can leach out of wood when it gets wet. Once the water evaporates, it can leave tannin sediment behind, causing staining. We recommend that you do not store your wood on a porous surface as it may cause discolouration.
Bulk DeliveryThis item will arrive on a lorry as a pallet/bulk bag delivered to the kerbside. Suitable access for a lorry is required and you will be responsible for moving items from the kerbside to your required position.

Natural wood is a fascinating material unlike a sterile plastic item. Wood changes, its bark comes away, there will be knots and cracks which will expand and contract as the wood changes over time. Further cracks will open up, particularly if left in direct sunlight or during a period of warm, dry weather. This all is amazing and it stimulates questions and helps connect us to the natural world.
Please note: softwood has naturally occurring resins that may come to the surface of the wood as it seasons. Once seasoned, this process will cease.
