Giant Bee & Bug Biome

Originally designed as a school’s educational tool, the Giant Bee & Bug Biome is a real focal point and working insect habit ideal for a variety of outdoor spaces. At 1.5m tall it is a real showstopper and talking point.

The Giant Bee & Bug Biome is handmade in the UK and made in FSC certified timber for sustainability. The outside is painted in a pale green blue and the whole piece has real sculptural impact.

The Giant Biome includes a variety of habitat types to attract a wide range of insects including friendly solitary bees. The interactive inspection area at the top of the Biome can be opened to reveal the clear perspex nesting bee tubes. The logs and canes provide provide habitats for solitary bees and other beneficial insects, such as ladybirds. The bottom chamber is filled with pine cones, ideal for lacewings, woodlice and other litter critters.
