Youth Mental Health Day, 18 September

2026 theme: #BuildFutureYou

Youth Mental Health Day, organised by stem4, encourages young people, families, schools and communities to come together and focus on emotional wellbeing.

The 2026 theme, #BuildFutureYou, recognises that many young people are facing uncertainty about the future while encouraging them to take positive steps towards their goals, one step at a time.

Spending time outdoors can play an important role in supporting young people's wellbeing. Whether it's walking, being active, connecting with nature, spending time with friends or simply taking a break from everyday pressures, outdoor experiences can help create space for reflection, confidence building and positive mental health.
