Random Acts of Kindness Day
Connecting with nature is one of the most powerful ways to nurture kindness - in children and adults alike. Visit our Nature Connection pages to explore ideas for building that bond outdoors.
Random Acts of Kindness Day takes place every year on 17 February, with many schools and communities also extending the celebration across the whole week. The day is a simple but powerful reminder that small gestures can make a big difference - to the people around us, and to our own wellbeing too.
For outdoor practitioners, this is a lovely opportunity to weave kindness into time in nature - leaving a pine cone creature for the next group to find, building a bug hotel for garden visitors, filling a bird feeder, or simply noticing and appreciating the natural world around us. Kindness towards nature and kindness towards each other often go hand in hand.
