Playday is the national day for play, celebrated each year across the UK on the first Wednesday in August.
Playday 2027 will be celebrated on Wednesday 4 August.
Playday highlights the importance of play in children's lives and promotes every child's right to time, space and freedom to play. Communities, schools, childcare settings, play organisations and families are encouraged to come together to celebrate play and recognise the positive contribution it makes to children's happiness, wellbeing, development and sense of belonging.
