Sharing Stories, Building Communities
Saturday 1 – Sunday 9 February 2025
National Storytelling week is a joyful opportunity to celebrate the power of stories.
National Storytelling Week is celebrated by all ages enjoying folk tales, fairy lore, figments, phantoms, dragons, serpents, storms at sea.
Organised by the Society for Storytelling.
This year’s theme is Sharing Stories, Building Communities - everyone who takes part - storytellers, story lovers, story enthusiasts and those who are new to story – are encouraged to take this week to immerse themselves in telling, sharing and listening to stories.
Storytelling Resources
SfS produced a new National Storytelling Week Resource Pack for schools in 2024 and have published a 2025 pack with resources to support storytelling in a range of other settings. The packs are full of pointers, background information, tips on how to use storytelling in different settings and video links.
