Recycle Week, 14 - 20 September 2026
A celebration of recycling across the nation, helping everybody to recycle more of the right things, more often.
Recycle Week is a chance to think beyond the recycling bin and explore how we can reduce waste, reuse materials and make the most of the resources around us. From loose parts play and junk modelling to den building and outdoor art, everyday objects can become opportunities for creativity, exploration and learning.
Free recycling resources
Looking for ideas to explore recycling with children? Recycle Now has developed a free Rescue Me – Recycle: Workshop in a Box, including a board game, activity sheets and workshop materials to help children discover more about recycling and the journey of everyday materials.
It includes some fun and engaging interactive exercises and materials for 7-11 year olds to rescue recyclable items from the rubbish bin.
