Taking the Curriculum Outdoors (8 hours teaching input) is aimed at practitioners working in Early Years, Primary and SEND settings. The courses are fully interactive, running from approximately 9am to 5pm each day, and cover:
• The benefits of outdoor learning and taking the curriculum outdoors
• Practical ideas for subject specific teaching and learning
• Facilitation styles, group and risk management
• Optional assessment by portfolio submission.
As well as practical and transferable activities, participants will gain first-hand experience of the principles underpinning outdoor learning, appropriate to any key- stage.
