This AIM Qualification, Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles is great for parents, young people and volunteers who want an introduction to the Forest School ethos. The training course embodies the ethos and principles of Forest School. Join us to become part of a supportive community of learning and rediscover the joys of playful nature connection and the transformative power of quality Forest School practice.

Our level 1 courses usually run alongside our Level 3 Forest School Leader courses, to build communities of learning and collaborative skills alongside the practical and pedagogical learning. Different course models are available; it usually takes three days of training and completing a simple workbook. This practical course gives a good ’taste’ of Forest School. Training takes places in the woods at the Sylva Foundation, Long Wittenham, Oxfordshire.
We are also able to run this in your setting for a group of adults, e.g. a set of twilights, or for you to train alongside one of our Forest School trainers/Recognised Forest School Providers in their setting. Please contact us for further details and bespoke training day dates.
