Knives and Tools Day for Forest School Leaders (BIRMINGHAM)

Using edged tools safely and effectively with groups is challenging but offers many benefits. This tools day is designed to give you more confidence in selecting and using a variety of tools with groups both young and old, whether in Forest School sessions, at Scouting events or Bushcraft camps.

Over the day we will cover:

Risk management principles
Selection and sharpening of common tools
Techniques and practices for using a range of carving, splitting, sawing and drilling tools.
Ideas for tool-based projects that you can take back to your groups.
