Introduction to Engaging Children in Permaculture Course with Lusi and Lex (SEPT, EAST SUSSEX)

We live in a time when many children are increasingly disconnected from the natural world, yet the need for ecological understanding and earth‑care skills has never been more important.

The Engaging Children in Permaculture CPD day offers a practical, inspiring introduction to how permaculture ideas can be explored with children of all ages. Through hands‑on learning, games, storytelling and outdoor activities, you will gain clear ways to help children understand earth care, people care and fair share.

Throughout the day, you’ll experience activities first‑hand, explore how to weave permaculture principles into everyday learning, and discover resources that make complex ideas simple and accessible.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with:

• Practical activities that introduce permaculture in simple, engaging ways

• Confidence to bring permaculture themes into outdoor learning sessions

• Tools to nurture children’s ecological understanding and responsibility

• Ideas to embed permaculture into curriculum or community programmes

This course is ideal for teachers, outdoor educators, Forest School leaders, parents, youth workers, and anyone wanting to grow a culture of care and ecological awareness with children.
