Description

Number markers – 10cm long and 7cm diameter with numbers from 0 to 20 on the face.

These number markers are made from UK softwood.  Each number marker is 10cm long.

The logs are made from softwood such as Scots Pine and Larch and are cut from unprocessed (no chemicals or paints) wood.

We are passionate about UK grown wood supporting the future of our woodlands and providing natural alternatives to plastic play and learning resources. Natural wood is a fascinating material unlike a sterile plastic item.  Wood changes, its bark comes away, there will be knots and small cracks which will expand and contract as the wood changes over time.  This all is amazing and it stimulates questions and helps connect us to the natural world.

Specifications:

  • Diameter: 7cm
  • Numbers 0 to 20

The product has not been treated with a preservative although wood contains a natural preservative called tannin, which aids its longevity.  Tannin is soluble and can leach out of wood when it gets wet. Once the water evaporates, it will leave tannin sediment behind, causing staining. We recommend that you do not store your wood on a porous surface as the surface may discolour.

Grown in UK

All our natural wood products are handmade from materials sourced from sustainably managed woodlands in the UK. Supporting local crafts people, woodland viability and biodiversity.

Each piece of wood is in its natural form and often with its bark on. Every piece has its own unique character with bends, knots, flaky bark, different colours and growth rings. A fascinating and absorbing material.

Natural wood will be affected by its environment. It is best stored in a cool well ventilated area protected from damp and heat, to prevent any mould growth or cracking.
