These Logs are made from UK softwood.  Each log is 100cm long.

Each log is in its natural form and they have their bark on and sometimes they may be speckled or may have a knot in them.  They all have a different number of growth rings,  giving each piece a unique character.  The logs are made from softwood such as Scots Pine and Larch and are cut from unprocessed (no chemicals or paints) wood.  As a natural product, wood is subject to expansion and contraction, bending, warping and cracking.  This is all perfectly normal and may occur as part of the drying process.  This is perfectly normal and will not detract from the quality of the product we endeavour to send out.

All our natural wood products are handmade from materials sourced from sustainably managed woodlands in the UK supporting local crafts people.

Please note – by the very nature of softwood, naturally occurring resins may come to the surface of the wood as it seasons. Once seasoned, this process will cease.

  • Log length 1000mm
  • Made from UK soft wood

***Please note that this product has not been stained or treated.   Wood contains a natural preservative called tannin, which aids the longevity of the wood.  Tannin is soluble and can leach out of wood when it gets wet.  Once the water evaporates, it will leave tannin sediment behind, causing staining.  We recommend that you do not store your wood on a porous surface as the surface may discolour.

All our natural wood products are handmade from materials sourced from sustainably managed woodlands in the UK. Supporting local crafts people, woodland viability and biodiversity.

Each piece of wood is in its natural form and often with its bark on. Every piece has its own unique character with bends, knots, flaky bark, different colours and growth rings. A fascinating and absorbing material.

Natural wood will be affected by its environment. It is best stored in a cool well ventilated area protected from damp and heat, to prevent any mould growth or cracking.
