This three-day immersive training takes place in a beautiful woodland and aims to equip those with experience of working with children in nature, to plant and tend their very own Children’s Forest in their locality. Over the three days you will explore the first three steps of Experiencing, Imagining and Planting a Children's Forest. This will enable you to plant a Children's Forest with the children you work with. Through nature connection practices, practical knowledge and ancestral skills, you will explore connective ways to engage children with nature. Our aim is to support you to engage children as co-creators of their world. The training also includes practical planting experience. The training is in three stages, incorporating experiential, theoretical and practical learning and experience, so that you can feel confident to seed your own Children’s Forest Planting. It is taught by an experienced team comprising of Forest School practitioners and trainers; Anna Richardson, Pippa Johns and team.
